Gospel Questions

Keith is wearing my hats! And the member of the Seventy didn’t leave time for questions at the end, so I was a little bummed. But it turned out after all because I went to get a drink of water afterward with my companion and he was in the hall, so we started to talk to him and I was able to ask one of my questions. It was really interesting how he responded. It was a good response and a good situation because it wasn’t exactly a question for a big group setting. And Dad, we are definitely going to the temple when I get back. I have some questions for you because there are some things that I don’t understand.

Right now I am reading in the Doctrine and Covenants and the New Testament. I have felt that I need to study about the Atonement, so I am going to do that more often. I like to study, but I am learning that even in my studies there are limits and even “good, better and best” studies. It’s hard for me to set limits, because I want to learn everything and know everything I can about the gospel. But, it’s hard when we don’t have it all. There are a lot of things you can pursue only to a point and that’s it. We have to be patient and wait until the Millenium – the 1,000 years of learning and work.

Keep going to the temple and reading everyday!

Love you all!

Back To Where It Started

I’m doing really well. I am right next to where I started my mission and it is amazing to see everyone a year later and the people who were baptized. It brings back a lot of memories and it is amazing to see what a year can do to you and your progression. I love seeing results like that. I can actually talk to the people and say what I want to say.

I am super excited for a member of the Seventy to come and learn from him. I am going to be in two meetings with him, so I am super, super, super excited. Those men are just walking intelligence and are true disciples. I love it when they open the meeting at the end for questions! That’s the biggest time to take advantage and just ask!

READ THE SCRIPTURES AND BEAR YOUR TESTIMONY! Those are just two things I love to do.

Thanks for everything! love you all!

General Conference Is The Best!!!

General Conference is the best!!! I watched all general sessions in Spanish and only the Priesthood session in English. I loved the talks. The second coming is close!

I was talking with the Stake President in between sessions and he said that in a capacitacion (training session) that an Apostle gave, he said that the younger generation is going to accept the Lord in the second coming! Wow! I love talking to people who know a lot. I asked him like 50 questions and now I understand the gospel better, especially the temple.

Conference addresses focused a lot on the second coming, obedience and marriage. I loved Elder Bednar’s talk about las cargas (burdens) and how they make us move forward. And I also loved in priesthood session when Elder Oaks said, “In the church there is no up or down, only forward and back.” And again in that session: “Just because you have a smart phone doesn’t make you smart”. I love conference.

Here is a picture of me with some other Elders. We just got done playing soccer this morning – it was super fun! And, yes, Becca – I did score a goal! But our team lost in the championship game. We also played a game of football, which I haven’t done in over a year.

Right now I want to know what I can do to be better, and I want to have a lot more questions, because the Stake President answered all of the questions I had.

Have a great week. Love you all!
