Oaxaca, Mexico Mission

Here is something just classic here (see picture below which reads: Don’t pass by without greeting Mary and telling her lovingly – Bless me, my mother). So many people worship Maria and pray to her. I don’t understand why – even when we talk to them about it and use their Bible.  Why don’t they get it?

We are seeing progress with the family we are teaching.  They are super pilas (on fire or charged?) right now,  We have taught them a lot, but they have to go to church for five weeks, so we have the opportunity to teach them a lot so they will be ready.  In our last two lessons we have been memorizing the Articulos de Fe (Articles of Faith) and singing the Latter-day Prophets song.  That’s the first time I’ve sang that song since primary. And we are teaching them the song in English because they speak English pretty well.  It’s fun to see people progress and learn the gospel.

Today we had like two hours of our p-day to ourselves. So you know those white rectangular tables we have in the garage that we use when people come over? Well, we took one of those outside, put up a ping pong net, found two paddles, and played for a good hour and a half. It was super fun! The table was really small but we made it work.

Dad and Miriam – have a great birthday! Love you all!
